Bacon Carbonara Pasta Base
250 g Spaghetti
2 Tablespoons oil
1 onion, finely chopped
250 g mushrooms, sliced
250 g bacon, sliced
250 ml fresh cream
½ cup frozen peas (optional)
- Cook pasta as per pack instructions.
- In a pan, lightly brown the chopped onion, mushrooms and bacon in oil.
- Add the contents of the pouch, cream and peas.
- Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste and stir into pasta/
Garnish with 50 g of Parmesan cheese
